This weekend, there is no shortage of fun in and around north metro Atlanta! Gather with your friends and family at one of these family-friendly events happening close to home!

This weekend, the Ferrari Challenge is returning to Road Atlanta! The whole family will love this fast-paced event featuring luxury sports cars in heart-stopping races around the 2.5-mile, 12-turn road course. This year, the Ferrari 488 Challenge and the 458 Challenge EVO will participate in three championship races. Single-day tickets are just $20, and kids 12 and under are free! Experience Gwinnett County’s rich culture at the Gateway International Food and Music Festival, taking place today from 3 to 7 pm at Lillian Webb Park in Norcross. This unique festival showcases the county’s incredible diversity with a variety of dances, musical acts, and fantastic cuisine. The whole family will love the lawn games, soccer, and mini-golf, along with a Splash Pad to cool yourselves during the warm afternoon. For more information, visit the City of Norcross website.

This weekend, Lake Lanier is hosting the ICF World Dragon Boat Championship – this international competition, which has been held in Poland, Russia, Italy and Hungary, is making its US debut in Gainesville, Georgia! Head to Lake Lanier to watch this incredible display of sport on beautiful Chinese boats, a tradition that dates back over 2,000 years. For more information, visit the event website.

Head to Suwanee Town Center for the city’s annual two-day community celebration, Suwanee Fest! There will be nearly 200 vendors and exhibitors with delicious cuisine, hand-crafted arts and crafts, and other unique offerings. Enjoy a variety of entertainment throughout the day, including local dance troupes, acrobats, and live music acts from the best singers and bands in the region. Kids will love the improved Family Fun Zone – there are a number of free activities this year, along with traditional rides and inflatables. Parking is unavailable at Suwanee Town Center, but free shuttles are available at three off-site lots. Best of all, admission to Suwanee Fest is free!
