Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial

Labb Homes is honoring our valued veterans this weekend.  We thank you for the sacrifices you have made to maintain the values and freedoms our country holds so dearly!

This weekend, gather with your family, friends, and neighbors at one of these special events in Atlanta to celebrate our treasured servicemen and servicewomen.

On Saturday morning at 11 am, Gwinnett County will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Fallen Heroes Memorial, located at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. The keynote address will be given by Col. Fred Van Horn,  a Vietnam veteran, Purple Heart recipient and executive vice-president emeritus of Georgia Military College. A special Veterans March is included a part of the program.

The Snellville Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at City Hall from 6 to 8 pm at Saturday evening. This special event will pay tribute to Army Spc. Etienne J. Murphy, a South Gwinnett High School graduate and Army Ranger who passed away earlier this year, along with other military veterans. The Gwinnett Community band, members of VFW Post 4180, Button Gwinnett Sons of the American Revolution chapter’s militia, and the South Gwinnett High School JROTC unit cadets will also participate in the ceremony.

On Saturday morning at 10:30 am, the City of Sugar Hill will hold a flag ceremony in front of City Hall, located at 5039 Broad Street. The Suwanee Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will participate, and the Broad Street Concert Band will perform.

The annual Atlanta Veterans Day Parade will begin at 11:11 am on Saturday morning on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. The parade will begin south of Ralph McGill/Ivan Allen Boulevard and end at Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Marietta Street. Major General James Everette Livingston, MOH, USMC (Ret.) will serve as the Grand Marshal and Keynote Speaker of the Freedom Ball.
