There are tons of events happening around town this weekend – enjoy the beautiful Fall weather and check out one of these fun destinations close to home!

Head to Suwanee Town Center today for the 6th Annual Suwanee Wine Festival! Sample over 150 hand-selected international premium wines and enjoy live entertainment from Dacula native and acclaimed country music artist Joe Hall. Try your hand at Giant Jenga and Peach State Cornhole! The event starts at 1 pm and is open to adults 21 and over only. To purchase tickets, visit this website.

The 11th Annual Chastain Park Arts Festival is a free event featuring some of the best arts and crafts in the region. Named “Best Local Festival” by Best Self Magazine, the festival includes nearly 200 exhibitors with ceramics, glass work, jewelry, photography, digital art, and a variety of other media. Relax to live acoustic music and enjoy delicious cuisine from local food trucks and concessions. Kids will love the dedicated children’s area! For more information, visit the festival website.

Don’t miss the Native American Festival and Pow Wow this weekend at Stone Mountain Park! This terrific event brings Native American culture to life with a variety of demonstrations, exhibits, and activities that will wow your whole family. Native Americans from across the U.S. and Central America will compete in fascinating intertribal drum and dance competitions. Learn about skills and traditions such as fire starting, bow making, and cooking over an open flame. Children will love exploring the authentic tipis and experiencing an encampment that demonstrates how Native Americans once lived. There will also be an artist’s marketplace with beautiful arts and crafts for sale. For more information, visit the Stone Mountain Park website.

This is a great weekend to check out the College Football Hall of Fame! Celebrate game day at Tailgate Saturday – this fun, family-friendly event includes tailgate games, trivia and prizes, and up to four live match-ups broadcast on a 36-foot video board! Don’t miss the Indoor Playing Field, where you can learn to throw like a quarterback, kick a field goal, and take on a challenging obstacle course.
